Missouri May End Adoption Tax Credit for International Adoptions
Sep 16th 2011, 08:00

The state of Missouri is looking to cut state subsidy payments for international adoptions and shift the money to benefit abused and neglected children of the state. Up to $2 million a year, could go towards adoption tax credits for the adoptive parents of these children instead of the adoptive parents of international children.

Some feel that a child in need is a child in need and it shouldn't matter where a child happens to be born. While others seem to be very happy that the hurt children of their state will be a priority. The adoption tax credit is to help adoptive families meet the needs of special children and offset the cost of an adoption.

What do you think on this issue? Does it matter or should it matter where a child was born?
