Anna Mae He - Anna Mae He, 12, returned to the U.S. to spend the summer with the Bakers, her former foster parents. Though Anna has been in China for four years, they have been keeping up their connection through Skype, phone and e-mail. Anna Mae He, was a little girl caught in a bitter, eight-year-long custody battle between her foster parents and biological parents. Anna was placed with the Baker family, a situation that the He family thought was temporary foster care, when she was a month old. The He's finally won custody of their daughter in 2007, and returned to China in 2008.
Jimmy Wayne - Just last year, Jimmy Wayne left Nashville, Tennessee and walked to Phoenix, Arizona. A 1,700 mile walk to raise awareness of homeless teens, especially those who age out of foster care, for the Meet Me Halfway. Now the singer-songwriter is working to create a documentary of his journey with a Colorado-based film company i25productions, Inc.. The plan to retrace his journey, stopping to capture pieces of the trek that changed his life. They plan on speaking to people he met during his walk as well as use some of the footage Wayne took last year. As of yet, no completion date has been reported.
