There seems to have been a lack of Hollywood adoption stories lately, but this weekend I happened upon a couple. One of them really surprised me too.
Denise Richards - Yes, I was surprised by the fact that Denise Richards has adopted a child. Mostly because of the drama surrounding her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen. I would think she has enough on her plate. But that's for her and her adoption agency to evaluate. Richards, 40, adopted Eloise Joni on June 29. Sam, 7, and Lola, 6, are the new big sisters and chose the name Eloise for their little sister, while her middle name comes from Richard's mother.
Ewan McGregor No official announcement has been made, but it seems that McGregor and wife Eve Mavrakis have adopted a baby girl. Hollybaby.com reported that during an interview McGregor was asked how he balances parenting and his career. He mentions his four children. Well, the couple have never announced a fourth child before this. "My wife and four girls - 15, two nine-year-olds and a baby of four months - often come with me if it's a holiday or my locations and their schedules allow," he said. "Sometimes we uproot them and put them in another school." Their 9-year old, Jamiyan, was adopted from Mongolia five years ago.
